Project manager Johan Wallin is moving on to his new assignment as a costume manager at the Royal Dramatic Thatre. Therefor we welcome Tomas Bokstad as the temporary project manager at SITE Sweden. He will continue on this post so until october, when our permanent projekt manager will start working. Petra Hjortensjö is the manager´s assistant from januari, and helping out with Studio-bookings and administrationtasks.

Project manager Elisabet Widlund is moving on to new challenges in the pr-business and SITE's chairman Peder Bjurman is taking over as contact person during October. From November, a new project manager will be in charge of SITE's development. Please see our Contact page for Peder's data.

Choreographer Björn Säfsten awarded with Birgit Cullberg scholarship

Björn Säfsten, choreographer and SITE-resident, was rewarded with the Birgit Cullberg scholarship at a ceremony held by Konstnärsnämnden/Swedish Art Grants Committee yesterday evening. The scholarship is of 100 000 SEK and is issued each year to a young Swedish choreographer on behalf of the Swedish government. Our warmest congratulations to Björn!

The inauguration of SITE was observed by Dagens Nyheter, Upplevelseindustrin.se and Kulturekonomi.se. Dagens Nyheter interviewed our resident Paloma Madrid about the philosophy of dance and about what the residency enables her to do.

SITE party and presentation of SITE's Kulturstipendium

On Wednesday May 27th, we will present our residents and officially inaugurate SITE. Very welcome at 15.00 for the presentation and press meeting. The SITE party is open until 20.00 at L M Ericssons väg 26. Take the subway to Telefonplan and then cross Telefonplan. SITE is the big black building right beside Konstfack. Staff news at SITE

Elisabet Widlund was appointed project manager of SITE March 3rd 2009. Elisabet has a background as a project manager at Folkoperan, Confidencen and Vadstena-Akademien and is part time working as a business developer for artistic organizations. She is working part time and is directly subordinated to the board, consisting of te founders Peder Bjurman, Åsa Edgren and Christina Molander.
